I’m going to try to keep this short. The carpal tunnel syndrome I acquired during pregnancy hasn’t gone away yet and I don’t want to make it any worse than it is right now!

First, Liliana has been growing very well. She’s plumping up and getting quite heavy, which is good news. The only thing that’s concerning us is that she’s gagging/retching, and it’s affected her eating to the point where she gags trying to eat most things that she was okay with before.

Damien has been doing well too. We went to the pediatrician yesterday to check on his clavicle and weight. Last Monday he was 8 lbs 2 oz and yesterday he was 8 lbs 12 oz, which is a gain of 10 oz. It’s slightly over the desired gain rate of an ounce a day, but the pediatrician said that ideally they want babies to be at their birth weight by 2 weeks of age. She said that this rate is okay because Damien had lost 11% of his weight after birth, and that we need to come in Thursday for another weight check to make sure Damien is at or above his birth weight.

The pediatrician also checked Damien’s clavicle and the movement of his left arm. She said it looked like it was healing well and that we’ll have to keep an eye on it.

Apart from that, Christmas was really enjoyable. We appreciate all the gifts we’ve gotten from family, both near and far (thank you!), and hope everyone had a good holiday as well.

I only have a few photos right now for you guys; the kids have been keeping me busy!

Damien and Liliana

Liliana realized the camera was out so of course, she gets up and gets cut off in the photo

Damien napping in the swing. His color has improved immensely.

Time to get Damien’s feeding ready!
