I have lots of good news this week! Liliana went to the pediatrician for her 15-month checkup and she’s back on the curve for her height and weight! Her weight had fallen off the curve a long time ago and was actually plateauing—not good—but now she’s on the right track! Here are her stats:
- Weight: 19 lb 7.4 oz | 5.32% weight-for-age
- Height: 2′ 4.63″ | 5.72% height-for-age
- Head Circumference: 18.11″ | 51.35% head circumference-for-age
Also, she started walking by herself yesterday! She’s still only taking a few steps before falling down, but that doesn’t deter her from trying again!
For some reason Liliana is going back to being clingy. She cries when I leave the room, and if I’m carrying her, she cries when I put her down. This morning she stood at my chair while I was sitting in it and cried, meaning that she wanted to sit on my lap. And after I went upstairs to take care of Damien and his diaper? She didn’t stop crying for 45 minutes, even after I had come back down.
Damien’s doing well; he smiles when you smile at him and he’s able to follow people with his eyes as they go around a room. He’s already outgrowing some of his 0-3 month clothes, even though he’s only 2 months old. It’s good that he’s healthy!
I usually have Damien in the swing for his daytime naps and sometimes Liliana likes to come along and make him swing, either by pushing the swing from the side or by grabbing the bar and moving it left to right. That’s what this week’s photos are of!
She’s actually swinging Damien right now using this method.
